In the shadow of St. Mary & St. Hardulph’s, an impressive and historically important Norman church, we offer basic facilities in an attractive location, easily reachable from the M1 and A42. Breedon is best known for its church on top of the hill which can be seen from miles around, so once that’s within sight, you know you’re drawing near! We are ideally located for Donington Park, Calke Abbey, Melbourne Hall and Gardens and Ashby Castle.
Our caravan site is on the premises of Breedon Priory (antiques, café and golf). The CL site (CL94271) is pleasantly private, protected by hedging, trees and a grassy bank. Adjacent to this there is hard standing, on the far edge of the car park serving the antiques, shops and golf.
Fee: £6 per night per pitch – that’s it!
No frills, just fresh water, an Elsan point and of course a friendly welcome. We like dogs a lot, but ask you to keep them under control/on a lead while exercising. Please also ‘pick up’ after them! Part of Leicestershire County Council’s footpath network runs along the golf course, and provides beautiful views of the surrounding countryside – please be careful to keep to the path and be aware of golfers!
Rallies are welcome too and we take bookings throughout the year. Same flat price per pitch. For larger groups we use the Fairway Football field when dry.
There is also a lot to do and see on site:
- 18 hole Academy Golf Course
- 12 hole Pitch & Putt and 9 hole Fairway Football (giant golf played with footballs instead of clubs!)
- Tea room/café
- Book room + crafts
- Vintage + collectables
- Wooden goods
- Knitting supplies
- Linens + lace
The Three Horse Shoes and Holly Bush pubs in the village are just a 5 minute walk away.
